Influenced by visionary directors like Baz Luhrmann, Gus Van Sant, Christopher Nolan, Frank Darabont, and John G. Avildsen, I have developed a unique approach to filmmaking that blends technical skill with deep philosophical and social themes. My work often explores the complexities of human experience, aiming to create films that are both thought-provoking and impactful.

 

In 2023, I directed, wrote, and produced the short film "Imperfection," followed by "Peace Through Color" in 2024 while completing my Bachelor's degree at the University of the Incarnate Word. These projects reflect my dedication to narrative storytelling and my desire to address important cultural and societal issues through film.

 

Starting in January 2025, I will be pursuing an MFA in Film and Television Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. This advanced program will allow me to refine my skills in cinematography and directing, furthering my ability to create high-quality, meaningful films. My aim is to continue preserving the generational legacy of storytelling, using practical effects and shooting on 35mm film to maintain the authenticity of the craft.

 

Throughout my life, I have faced and overcome numerous challenges that have shaped my values of courage, humility, and perseverance. These experiences fuel my passion for filmmaking and inspire me to create stories that resonate deeply with audiences.

My long-term goals include becoming a member of the Directors Guild of America and winning an Academy Award. Additionally, I plan to establish a production company or independent studio that provides a platform for marginalized filmmakers, fostering creative opportunities and mentorship for the next generation of storytellers.
